Lit. Profs. Sandy Alexandre & Arthur Bahr selected as Burchard Faculty Fellows

Literature is pleased to announce that Professors Sandy Alexandre and Arthur Bahr have both been selected to serve as Burchard Faculty Fellows for the 2013-14 academic year.

Each year the Dean of the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, in consultation with the Associate Dean and the Director of the Burchard Scholars, chooses five faculty members to serve as Burchard Faculty Fellows. This appointment honors faculty members' abilities to discuss colleagues' research from all units in the School and their pleasure in meeting with undergraduates. Faculty Fellows are responsible for choosing the next class of Burchard scholars and they attend all Burchard events. The Faculty Fellows are teachers whose dynamic, interactive style enables them to encourage lively exchange of ideas with students as they confront a range of scholarly ideas.
