David Thorburn: The William Corbett Poetry Series

Comparative Media & Writing will be proudly hosting David Thorburn’s poetry reading in the William Corbett Poetry Series on February 28, 2022 at 7:00pm. This is a virtual event and will broadcast live on Zoom: http://calendar.mit.edu/event/david_thorburn_the_william_corbett_poetry_series David Thorburn has been a teacher of literature for 57 years, 46 of them at MIT where he is Professor of Literature and Comparative Media and Director Emeritus of the MIT Communications Forum. Generations of MIT undergraduates have taken his version of “The Film Experience,” a lecture course that now reaches an international audience on YouTube. He was born in Manhattan and grew up in an old farmhouse in Randolph, New Jersey. In addition to a book on Joseph Conrad, he has written many essays and reviews on literature and media.
