Lit Tea x Artfinity | Ekphrastic poetry prize winners and brilliant performances from the Literature student community

Published on: March 13, 2025

This project is presented as part of Artfinity, an Institute-sponsored event celebrating creativity and community at MIT. Artfinity is organized by the Office of the Arts.

Lit Tea x Artfinity showcased MIT’s literary arts, hosted by MIT’s Literature Section. Expanding on the Literature Section’s weekly tradition of hosting a social gathering to connect students and professors over tea and snacks, the MIT community had the opportunity to get a literal and metaphorical taste of the literary flavor of arts taught and produced in the Literature Section. Visitors heard students read raps, personal poems, Shakespearean recitations; a preview of the winners of the Ekphrastic poetry contest and socialize over tea and a delicious assortment of refreshments. Our slideshow featured the works and influences of the Ekphrastic poetry winners.
