Congratulations Wyn Kelley, Lit@MIT’s Senior Lecturer Emerita, has been elected a member of the American Antiquarian Society in recognition of her expert scholarship on Herman Melville and U.S. and transatlantic literature.
Wyn joins an esteemed group of scholars dedicated to preserving and advancing knowledge of early American print culture and history.
Fourteen U.S. presidents have been members, while others in the membership have won more than 80 Pulitzer Prizes, scores of Bancroft Prizes, many Guggenheim Fellowships, and a few MacArthur Awards. Members hail from across the United States and around the world. Such a richly deserved honor!
