MIT Global Humanities Initiative: Master Class series presents, “Experience & Discover: The Power of Traditional Chinese Medicine”

Dear colleagues, students, and friends,
Join us for the two exciting events on East Asian & Traditional Chinese Medicine hosted by MIT GHI.
1. Join us for an afternoon at the New England School of Acupuncture in Worcester to hear about and experience the power of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This event is held in conjunction with Professor Wiebke Denecke’s MIT IAP course, 21L.600: Reading Masterpieces of Classical East Asian Literature and Philosophy. If you are interested in joining the excursion, please reach out to <aisleyi@mit.edu>

– Instructor: Professor Dennis Moseman and other faculty

2. Before visiting the School of Acupuncture, build foundational knowledge and key concepts of East Asian medicine through the online lecture “Master Class: Daoism and Early Herbal Medicine” by Professor Michael Stanley-Baker. This online lecture includes an introduction to his award-winning website Polyglot Asian Medicines, as well as a discussion of Stanley-Baker’s Mapping the Bencao (Chinese materia medica).
