We said goodbye to postdoctoral fellow Anna Abramson and to her amazing work with the MIT Lit Section. Here are some kind words she left with her departure and new journey as Assistant Professor of English at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She just signed a full book contract with Johns Hopkins University Press, and her book Novel Atmospheres will be included in the Hopkins Studies in Modernism series headed by Doug Mao. Good luck in everything, Anna!
It would be difficult to overstate how much I’ve valued my time as a part of the Lit section family. Lit Teas were nourishing, and LitShops were inspiring – I have loved the opportunity to learn from the amazing work and teaching you are all doing. So many of you have gone above and beyond in taking the time to help… I will always be so glad that I got to teach the amazing MIT students that I had here. In my new Amherst faculty profile, I was sure to mention the effect they had on me: https://www.amherst.edu/people/facstaff/aabramson
I am really looking forward to paying forward all of the help I’ve gotten as I work with a new crop of great students… I look forward to continue to hear about all of your future research and teaching successes.
With the greatest gratitude, Anna
