Incoming Freshmen Discovered History & Literature

Published on: September 8, 2014

On Aug 22, 2014, incoming freshman participated in the FPOP’s (Freshman Pre-Orientation Program) Discover History and Literature. As part of the program, students along with History’s UAA, Chuck Munger and Graduate Student Michaela Thompson and Literature Faculty (not shown) visited the Orchard House, which was the home of Bronson and Louisa May Alcott. Discover History and Literature in Boston is a four-day introduction to the wide variety of historical and literary sites and resources in the greater Boston area. It is designed not only to introduce students to the history and literature of Boston (although we will do plenty of that) but also to explore the wide array of times, places, and people that can be studied in the Boston area.
