Before joining the MIT faculty this month, Prof. Marah Gubar collaborated with Anna Redcay on an essay about the Children’s Literature Program at the University of Pittsburgh where Gubar was the director of the program. In “Pitt Pioneers: or, How Our Faculty Helped Establish Children’s Literature and Childhood Studies in the Academy,” Gubar and Redcay discuss the history of how Children’s Literature became a “legitimate” field of study.
