Was there a favorite book or topic that you studied with Literature that you would recommend?
I loved everything I read in Prof. Alexandre’s Toni Morrison seminar and Prof. Raman’s literary theory course! I also loved the freedom to pursue whatever topic I thought was interesting in Prof. Henderson’s Marlowe/Shakespeare seminar. I feel these three classes encouraged me to think more deeply about how meaning emerges from language — and the agency and responsibility we have as participants of language (both in speaking/writing and reading/understanding/interpreting).
