Stephanie Rambo is a PhD candidate in English at Louisiana State University. Her research specialties are Black diasporic literature and theory, Black girlhood, and Women and Gender studies. Her dissertation “Worrying Black Girl Memory: Girlhood as a Spatial Politic in Black Diasporic Literature” explores nineteenth century to contemporary literary portrayals of Black girls and girlhood geographies.
